Show your commitment to the largest youth development organization in Louisiana with a 4-H License Plate.
Support the 4-H goal of helping our young people “learn by doing” – to acquire skills that benefit them, their families and their communities throughout their lives.
The 4-H plate costs $25 per year in addition to regular registration fees. Of that amount, $15 goes to the Louisiana 4-H Foundation and $10 to the 4-H Foundation in the parish where the plate is registered. Proceeds help fund various 4-H educational programs throughout the state each year.
You may apply for a 4-H plate in person or by mail. In-person is available only at the state headquarters of the Office of Motor Vehicles in Baton Rouge at 7979 Independence Blvd. But, the entire process takes less than 15 minutes!
To mail your application, write to:
Attn: Special Plate Unit
Office of Motor Vehicles
P.O. Box 64886
Baton Rouge, La. 70896-4886
Whether in person or by mail:
- Submit a photocopy of your vehicle registration certificate, proof of insurance and a brief note stating that you are applying for the 4-H license plate.
- Contact the Special & Dealer Plate unit of the Office of Motor Vehicles for fees. Have your current licence plate number available. The office will then calculate the charges. Call 225-925-6371 or 1-877-368-5463. Or, visit their Web site at www.expresslane.org for the calculation. Please note: credit will be given on the unused portion of your current plate. Automobiles, trucks and motor homes are issued two-year validation stickers.
Please call Eric Eskew at the Louisiana 4-H Foundation, 225-578-2972, or e-mail at eaeskew@agcenter.lsu.edu for any questions or information.
Display your support of Louisiana 4-H and the LSU AgCenter with a prestige 4-H license plate. It’s a great way to promote 4-H youth development and the LSU AgCenter statewide!
