Governor visits 4-H Museum

Gov. Bobby Jindal, standing center, visited the Louisiana 4-H Museum in Mansura in Avoyelles Parish on Aug. 20, 2009. Museum coordinator Rose Anne St. Romain, third from right, gave the governor a brief tour, pointing out historical artifacts and demonstrating interactive multi-media kiosks. The governor expressed appreciation for the use of technology in a history museum and also recognized 4-H for its character education program. He came to Mansura to present area veterans with medals of recognition during a special presentation. Avoyelles 4-H’ers participated in the event. They included Luke Vanderlick, front row left, who gave the invocation; Austin Bordelon, third from left standing; and Beau Voinche, second from left in front row, who sang the national anthem.
