Foundation funds are dedicated to youth development and are deposited in endowed and non-endowed accounts with the LSU Foundation based on the use restrictions identified by donors and the purpose of the activities.
4-H Foundation Fund
Endowed, interest-bearing account. Funds directed to specific funding areas such as camping, character education, curriculum, educational programs and activities, scholarships, volunteer leader development and general funds.

General funds are one of the most important funds of the foundation and are needed to support activities that do not have funds dedicated to them. They are also used when the cost of an activity is greater than the interest earned from dedicated funds. |

The recruitment and training of parish and state-level volunteers, volunteer recognition awards and incentives. |
Louisiana Campaign for 4-H
The Louisiana Campaign for 4-H was implemented in 1985 to build a partnership between the parish 4-H program and the Louisiana 4-H Foundation. The campaign uses a pledge system whereby a donor pays a donation over a five-year period. At the time of the initial payment, the donor specifies their intent to have 25 percent of the donation returned to the parish of their choice. In August each year, a rebate check of 25 percent is sent to the designated parishes. The Louisiana Campaign for 4-H Fund is a non-endowed fund.
