To make your donation now to the Louisiana 4-H foundation, please make sure you follow these easy steps:
(1.) Click here to go to the LSU Foundation Web site.
(2.) At the drop-down menu where it asks "For the Benefit Of," please choose "OTHER."
(3.) On the following line where it asks, "Please specify academic unit," type in "Louisiana 4-H Foundation."
(4.) Complete the remainder of the form.

Make a Pledge
Pledge to support the Louisiana 4-H Foundation on a regular, scheduled basis. A friendly reminder will come at the beginning of the month when a payment is scheduled.

Gifts in Honor or Memory
You may make an individual donation or join others in setting up a special account in honor or in memory of someone.

Transfer Stocks
Stocks, bonds and real estate can be given to the Foundation and dedicated to a specific purpose. They can be given as an outright gift in honor of or in memory of someone. The Foundation will sell them and the proceeds will be used as restricted.
Give your broker the transfer instructions found at this LSU Foundation link. Make sure your broker specifies that the gift is for the "Louisiana 4-H Foundation."

Wills and Trusts
Through your will, you may give cash, real estate, stocks, bonds or life insurance proceeds. You can establish a trust that would provide income during the lifetime of your surviving spouse or whomever else you designate, after which your trustee would give the principal to the 4-H Foundation. You can establish a trust now and retain your control of and income from your property as long as you live. The staff of the Louisiana 4-H Foundation can meet with you and your attorney on this matter. Consult your attorney about the proper way to make a will or establish a trust. The Louisiana 4-H Foundation Fund should be designated as heir or beneficiary.

Tax Deductions
Gifts made payable to the Louisiana 4-H Foundation are tax deductible. Substantial savings in estate taxes may result through bequests, trusts and life insurance policies through the designation of the Louisiana 4-H Foundation as beneficiary. By contributing gifts or highly appreciated property, such as stocks or land, capital gains taxes can be reduced or eliminated.
