Acadia Parish. Year Inducted: 2008. Joseph L. Baronet, a 4-H alumnus, was a livestock leader for more than 43 years and was instrumental in organizing the first annual livestock sale in 1968. He was a key figure in securing support for the Acadia Parish multipurpose facility and extension office.

Joan McCrory touched the lives of many 4-H’ers throughout Louisiana from when she began her career as a 4-H agent in 1969 until her retirement in 2005 as a professor in the LSU AgCenter’s Department of 4-H Youth Development. She developed publications and guidelines for several significant Louisiana 4-H programs and was continually committed to fostering life skills in youth. She continues to volunteer with the 4-H program.
