Louisiana 4-H Museum

Explore the Louisiana 4-H Museum and experience the history of 4-H in Louisiana from its beginnings in 1908 as a boys’ “corn club” to what it is today – a nonformal educational program reaching more than 225,000 boys and girls each year. Museum exhibits document the hands-on learning opportunities in clubs, camps, clinics and curricula that 4-H youth have been enjoying for years.

During the first 100 years of Louisiana 4-H, it is conservatively estimated that more than 4 million youth became involved in 4-H. That’s a lot of people! Were you in 4-H? If so, let us know. We’ll keep you updated on the museum’s news. Click here and tell us about yourself.

The museum is located on Highway 1 in Mansura, La., as part of a facility that includes the LSU AgCenter’s Avoyelles Parish Office, Southern University Extension Service's Avoyelles Office and the Avoyelles Commission of Tourism.
