Louisiana OMK is partnering with Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) to hold a coastal preservation camp for military kids between the ages of 13 and 18. Participants will be able to enhance their environmental awareness and learn stewardship of one of Louisiana’s most precious resources — Ideal for anyone considering a career in marine or environmental sciences. Activities include a cruise aboard the R/V Acadiana, a trip to a barrier island, salt marsh canoeing, water sampling, grass transplanting and more.
Registration fee is $15 per person and the deadline is June 28. For participants who register before June 25 the registration fee is $10.
