Celebrating the Month of the Military Child, children of deployed service members enjoyed a weekend of camping sponsored by Louisiana Operation: Military Kids Program. The spring OMK Camp Lagniappe was held at the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center in Pollock, Louisiana. Activities included archery to sewing and everything in between. Campers were introduced to session tracks that included team building, arts and crafts, archery and personal development of life skills. The personal development session allowed the children to share feelings and issues they experience and learn new ways to handle challenges in life.
