Washington Parish Holds Annual Canned Food Drive

The Washington Parish 4-H Program sponsored a canned food drive to benefit the Bogalusa Help Center during the month of November. The 4-H members collected the canned goods in their schools and brought these items to their November club meetings. The members of Washington Parish 4-H donated close to a TON of canned foods to benefit the cause! The Bogalusa Help Center utilizes these canned goods through a program that benefits residents in Washington Parish. Their needs are assessed through income statements and an interview process. The canned goods are given out once a month to these deserving residents in addition to a loaf of bread, bananas and ramen noodles. Washington Parish 4-H plans to sponsor another canned food drive in the spring to help the Bogalusa Help Center out again!
