Plaquemines 4-H'ers took part in two projects last year related to our Project Rebuild Plaquemines service-learning project. The first project included planting trees in a tree farm at City Park in New Orleans. The trees will be used to beautify the local businesses and homes of the community that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The second was helping build the Diamond Park Playground. Several organizations assisted with the building of this KABOOM playground.
This year in March, our junior leaders will continue with Project Rebuild Plaquemines as they remove debris from Woodlands Trail and Park and participate in a tree planting at the park.
