Eighty-five youth from the Tensas Parish 4-H program participated in the Tensas Beautification Task Force projects.
As of February 2008, 17 hours were completed and three towns were involved. The goal of the project is to make our three towns more welcoming and to remove debris from any place where it seems to collect. 4-H'ers participated in a litter-control poster contest, and winning posters were displayed in the three towns. A clean-up day was held in December, and another will be held in May. 4-H members picked up trash at designated spots and planted flowers.
