Lafayette Parish Bowl-A-Thon
Lafayette Parish 4-H'ers raised funds to strike out muscular dystrophy on April 14, 2009, at Lafayette Lanes Bowling Alley. There were 23 bowlers in attendance who raised a total of $1,178, and there are still pledges coming in. There were 5 4-H'ers who raised money on a pledge-per-pin basis. The top three youth fundraisers won U.S. savings bonds, which were awarded at Lafayette Parish's 4-H Honors ceremony on May 7. All funds that were raised will go directly to benefit Jerry’s kids and The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
