Louisiana 4-H Recipient of Walmart Foundation Healthy Living Grant

The Louisiana 4-H Youth Development Program was awarded a $50,000 grant for their Fit 4 the Future: Youth Choice Youth Voice proposal. The goals of the grant are to mobilize youth to take action around three healthy living priorities – nutrition, physical fitness and safety. In Louisiana, the grant is supporting a statewide Food & Fitness Board and camp, 11 parish mini-grants, regional Ag Awareness events, Rural Health Day, and regional Challenge Camps.

The parishes awarded mini-grants are: Acadia, Ascension, Assumption, Caddo, Cameron, Catahoula, Concordia, Iberia, Natchitoches, St. Helena, Washington.
