Youth Wetlands Week is made possible by a grant from the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Secretary Scott Angelle with DNR gave the LSU AgCenter $1,500,000 towards youth wetlands education.

Pepsi Company donated more than 700 empty 2-liter bottles that were needed to teach many of the lessons. The bottles were used to make wetland filters and to demonstrate subsidence.
Cracker Barrel donated 500 maps that will be used with lessons to teach children about topography and the Mississippi River watershed.
