Not quite ready to apply for the State Schools of Character Award?
Maybe your school or district has developed and successfully implemented a unique practice. If so, you should apply for a Promising Practices award. Promising practices does not require a description of your whole character education program, but rather a specific practice or aspect of your program that other schools may learn from and even replicate.
This past year, Haynesville Jr./Sr. High School in Claiborne Parish was recognized nationally for their Promising Practice, “Teaching Good Character.”
Promising Practices Award: Open to public or private schools (K-12) or school districts
