Camp Grant Walker is located located near Pollock on Highway 8 about 15 miles northeast of Alexandria. This 80-acre camp features beautiful tree-covered grounds, a large outdoor recreation area, climate-controlled cabins, bath facilities, a modern kitchen with a spacious dining hall, new classrooms and outdoor pavilions.

Available Facilities

Multipurpose Building

The multipurpose building holds up to 300 persons and features a large meeting hall, dining hall and modern commercial kitchen. Dining options are available. Setup and removal of chairs and tables is available. Rental fee is $200/day.

Education Building

The education building contains four sections, each with a capacity of 50 people. The sections include a snack room, computer lab and two classrooms. Arrangements can be made to merge the classrooms to hold a larger group. Setup and removal of chairs and tables is available. Rental fee is $50/day per section and includes a 32-cup coffee pot and ice chest with ice.

Lodging

Bunkhouse area and log cabin area are available for lodging. Each bunkhouse has 48 bunk bed-style and four twin beds. Eleven bunkhouses are available for rental with two large bathhouses for use. Rental fee is $10 per person/day ($100 minimum charge).

Other Facilities 

Camp Grant Walker also offers a swimming pool, archery range, shooting range, campsites and canoeing for rent.
