State 4-H Food & Fitness Board Holds Summer Meeting in Lafayette Area
The 2009-10 State 4-H Food and Fitness Board conducted a summer meeting July 21-22, 2009. The meeting was held in Lafayette, Louisiana and included tours of Great Harvest Bread Company and Rouses; as well as, a fitness stop at the Rok Haus. The board consist of 22 teens representing all parts of the state. Throughout the year, the teens will learn more in the area of nutrition and fitness and plan outreach opportunities.
The board planned a statewide camp, The Food and Fitness Tour, which will feature food and fitness lessons and activities representing different countries. The camp is schedule for March 12-14, 2010.
