Academic Departments
Although the LSU AgCenter is not a degree-granting institution and does not receive any funding from LSU student tuition, we are still a major force and funding source in 11 academic departments. LSU AgCenter faculty conduct the majority of the research in these departments, guide the work of graduate students and do some of the classroom teaching. Most of the faculty who teach hold joint appointments with the College of Agriculture. Departments include faculty will full-time extension appointments or joint appointments with research and teaching. Click on departmental names to learn more.
