Leave Accrual Methods
Annual and sick leave accrual methods are based on the employee's type of appointment and years of service. Listed below are the annual and sick leave accrual rate charts for eligible employees.
Academic and Non-classified Employees
- Annual Leave - eligible academic and non-classified employees may choose to accrue their annual leave under either the LSU Schedule or the Civil Service Schedule. An employee on an academic year basis (9-month appointment) does not accrue annual leave but does accrue sick leave.
- Leave Accrual Selection Form - eligible employees must select an option within thirty days of their date of employment. The decision made is irrevocable.
