Narrative: Common soft red winter wheat with semi-upright juvenile growth habit and short vernalization requirement. Medium height with recurved peduncle and an awned, middense, tapering head. Seed red, ovate with short brush and rounded cheek. Resistant to PLMQ, MCJL, TCDL, LBBQ, TCBQ, TLGG and PNML races of leaf rust as determined by the USDA Cereal Disease Lab. Moderate to good resistance to powdery mildew and susceptible to Hessian fly. Best adapted to the warm, humid regions of the Gulf Coast.
