[Image: Image of Poster]The LSU AgCenter has 22 research stations across the state and 11 research departments on the AgCenter’s campus in Baton Rouge. We have a unique relationship with both the people and the industry of Louisiana and are committed to working closely with all our stakeholders. Each year, the AgCenter provides important services, such as research and product testing for 100-plus companies. There is not a person in the state who is not impacted on a daily basis by the AgCenter and the technology we develop.
Commercial Development of LSU AgCenter Technologies
Since its inception in 1989, the AgCenter’s Office of Intellectual Property has secured more than 80 patents and 29 plant variety protection (PVP) certificates, entered into more than 40 licensing agreements and has been involved in more than 10 startup companies. We’ve enabled commercialization of AgCenter technology in cancer treatment, disease therapies, termite detection and control, alternative energy and biofuel development, improved crop performance and advancements in sterilization technology.
