The 2008 Legislative Day was the most successful ever with 91 members registered for the one-day event June 3. Two chartered buses left Efferson Hall at 8:00 a.m. for stops at the Capitol, Governor’s Mansion and the Louisiana State Museum. After visiting with their legislators at the Capitol, members toured the Governor’s Mansion and met with Mrs. Jindal. Legislators invited to the mansion for lunch with the Governor also visited with the group. Participants enjoyed lunch at the new state museum before touring the exhibits.
All participants earned 1.5 LLL credits. Participation in at least one legislative day is a requirement for completing the first 30 hours.
Please check back in early spring for the date and registration information for the 2009 Legislative Day.
