M.S. Entomology, Louisiana State University-2007

Areas of Specialization/Research
Current research  focus is on the red-banded stink bug, Piezodorus guildinii, an emerging pest of soybeans in Louisiana. Other projects include adapting precision agricultural techniques in southern row crops and variable rate applications of pesticides with an aircraft. Insecticide resistance monitoring of bollworm, tobacco budworm, and tarnished plant bugs in Louisiana. I also conduct laboratory insecticide bioassays on current and novel insecticides for use in Louisiana cotton pest management. I also maintain three species of laboratory reference colonies including tobacco budworm, bollworm and fall armyworm. Conduct small plot insecticide trials in cotton, corn, grain sorghum, and soybeans.
