Plants And Gardeners Need To Avoid Heat Stress

Description:
(Audio 08/21/06) When it is hot outside, gardeners need to avoid suffering from heat stress. LSU AgCenter horticulturist Dan Gill advises gardeners to drink plenty of fluids, take breaks and try to work in the shade. Also, remember this is a stressful time for plants, and, therefore, a bad time to plant new trees or shrubs in the landscape. (Runtime: 60 seconds)
