Sentinel plots guard against Asian soybean rust

(Radio News 04/27/09) Researchers at the LSU AgCenter’s Dean Lee Research Station have planted a sentinel plot of soybeans. The purpose of this plot and others like it across the state is to warn against diseases like Asian soybean rust that could affect the crop, says LSU AgCenter soybean specialist Dr. Ronnie Levy.
