Barry Moser, 1955-2005

Barry Moser, 50, head of the Department of Experimental Statistics, died unexpectedly April 19, 2006, of a heart attack. Moser had been department head since 1997, having joined the LSU AgCenter faculty in 1985. Moser’s area of expertise was applied statistics, and he worked collaboratively with countless researchers in analyzing and interpreting their research. He has been a contributor to Louisiana Agriculture. A native of Greensboro, N.C., Barry graduated from North Carolina State University and received his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, and two daughters.
