ON THE COVER: Soybeans are loaded into the Dimitrus Manio II, a Greek-owned ship, at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge on the Mississippi River. The shipment was bound for Veracruz, Mexico. The port's grain elevator, operated by Cargill AgHorizons, handles roughly 15 percent of Louisiana's grain crop and serves rural parishes in this area, along with farmers throughout the state, in eastern Mississippi and Texas.
