Asian Soybean Rust Hosts

What are “hosts” of Asian soybean rust?

A “host” is a plant on which a pest can harbor. Kudzu is one of the hosts of greatest concern. But at least 89 different plants can host the fungus. Kudzu is an invasive plant abundant in several locations in South Louisiana and along the Mississippi River.

Following is a table of known host crops of Phakopsora pachyrhizi, causal agent of soybean rust.
