DairySouth-L is an e-mail list created in an effort to improve communication and information exchange among dairy research and extension workers within the southern region. It is open to any university faculty and/or state and county extension workers with an interest in the dairy industry.
The list can be widely used to share information among members. For example, the list can be used to publicize and share information in dairy extension newsletters and new dairy extension publications, post URLs where such information can be found, post and answer dairy-related questions among members or to publicize local and regional dairy conferences.
The idea for
DairySouth-L originated from the SERA-IEG-15 Regional Dairy Committee. The SERA-IEG-15 members felt there were unique dairy issues in the southern region that justified a separate dairy discussion forum with a focused membership. The
DairySouth-L discussion list will help increase the effective use of extension and research resources devoted to serving the dairy industry in the southern region.
