Restoration Opportunity with the
America’s WETLAND
Conservation Corps

What: Cypress stand beautification through nuisance tree removal.

When: October 17 at 9 a.m.

Where: Beauregard Parish Airport property, just west of DeRidder.

Come help preserve the beauty of the state tree, the bald cypress, right here at home! Volunteers needed!

Lunch and refreshments will be provided to all volunteers!

This is a joint effort of the America’s WETLAND Conservation Corps, Beauregard Parish Police Jury and the DeRidder Airport Committee. Not only will this project improve the health of the bald cypress planted on the site, it will also beautify the area for passing motorist and create improved habitat for different species of wildlife.

The project site may be wet, depending on recent rain conditions, and tall grass/briars will be present. Please dress accordingly. Long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes and gloves are recommended.

Please contact Carlin LeDoux to RSVP and to get directions. Contact Carlin by email or 337-396-1189
