Wooden Fencing

Wood to ground contact is definitely a bad thing. Subterranean termites will find most wood sitting on the ground. Once in the wood they can move into the structure, bypassing any treatment barrier in place.

Common problem areas are firewood piles, attached fence posts and low siding.
