What's In My Back Yard?

The Road Home's "What's In My Back Yard?" (WIMBY) tools provide information about facilities and services available in areas affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This information is intended to serve as a resource for homeowners as they decide how to use their Road Home funds. Users may view WIMBY maps or create their own WIMBY reports that show the status of the following: adult centers, after-school programs, banks, building permits, child care centers, fire houses, grocery stores, hospitals, libraries, places of worship, post offices, power services, public transportation, recreational centers, Road Home applications, Road Home options selected, schools, sewage services and water services. The WIMBY Web site offers a general overview of the condition of an area. While the Road Home staff strives to keep the WIMBY site as up-to-date as possible, the recovery status of communities is constantly changing.
