Welcome to our Learning Modules Section.
This is where we publish materials to provide you with interactive media content in order to increase your awareness and education on particular subjects about rebuilding and restoration of homes.
Please select from the Learning Modules listed below, but please be patient as some of the modules are very large and may take a while to load.
Raised Floor Construction in Louisiana - this program includes six learning modules that focus on how raised floor homes came to exist in Louisiana, why they flourished for so many years, why the slab on grade has become a more common construction method, and why home owners are should consider going back to the raised floor construction.
Charting Your Course to Home Ownership - These learning modules are adapted from part of the LSU AgCenter's Home Buyer Program which is normally taught in a classroom series.
Home Construction/Improvement
Using the LSU AgCenter's Online Design and Construction Registry - The Home Design and Construction Registry allows you to contact a contractor and ask if the contractor is interested in a project you're trying to do -- build a home, remodel or restore a home, or change out a major system, such as the electrical or plumbing system. You can find a contractor by searching for either the contractor's name (if you know it) or the services you need the contractor to provide.
Check back frequently as many new modules will be added on a regular basis.
