 Louisiana Flood Map Portal

Click on a parish to view the source of on-line flood maps and access a link to that source. For parishes shaded in gray, digital flood maps have not been brought into either the LSU AgCenter or LaMP web site. Effective FIRM maps can be found for all parishes at the FEMA Map Service Center web site.

Flood-risk information for parishes shown in green is displayed in a base-map system created by the LSU AgCenter. This system is unique in that it integrates flood risk information with ground elevation (provided by a service of the US Geological Survey) and basic wind speed (derived from the International Building Code and produced as a service by the LSU AgCenter).  Basic Wind Speed Interactive Map

For information about how flood maps and the data they provide are used to reduce flood damage - voluntarily or through regulation, visit Flood Maps and Permits

Visit Rolling out new FIRMs for a description of the two mapping and outreach programs in Louisiana developed to facilitate the transition to new digital flood insurance rate maps.
