Flooding Risk Maps Released for New Orleans and Plaquemines Areas

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released flooding risk maps for the New Orleans area and Plaquemines area in summer 2007. These maps show where flooding can be expected to occur, and in what depths, during future hurricanes, given the conditions of the levees and pumps systems at that time.

Click here to view the maps on the Corps web site and learn more about why they were developed.
