EatSmart Recipes - Homemade Cheese Pizza

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

8 slices bread

1 cup pizza sauce

10 oz (3/4 lb) cheese (mozzarella)

1. Toast each slice of bread.

2. Place toasted bread on a cookie sheet and spread each piece with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce.

3. Top each slice with 1 ½ oz sliced cheese.

4. Turn broiler on in oven and place cookie sheet in oven. Allow pizzas to cook until cheese begins to brown (2-4 minutes).

Note: Leftover cooked ground beef, chicken or turkey (cut in small pieces) can be placed on top of the cheese before cooking.
