  • "Plant A Row for the Hungry" is a Garden Writers Assn. sponsored program aimed at encouraging gardeners to grow and donate a portion of their garden produced vegetables and fruits to their local food bank to aid those who suffer from hunger or the daily threat of hunger. "Plant a Row" (an extra row) for those in need and donate to your food bank.

  • Soil test this month to make sure spring planted vegetables and bedding plants have the proper soil pH and soil fertility for best performance.
