Steve Picou is a futurist, community activist, musician and public safety advocate. He served as Assistant Director of the Louisiana Music Commission for more than a dozen years and spent 10 years working to end New Year's Eve gunfire in New Orleans. A lifelong environmentalist, he strives to promote healthy, sustainable lifestyles, cultural awareness and self-reliance. At the LSU AgCenter, Steve promotes sustainable/green building and energy efficiency.
He has a Bachelor of General Studies from UNO and is a Fellow of the Loyola Institute of Politics.
