Pollet, Dale

Dr. Dale Pollet, aka "The Bug Man," is an entomologist with the LSU AgCenter Department of Entomology. He is also a specialist and project leader for sugarcane, turf and ornamentals, beekeeping, forestry and Christmas trees, urban trees, scales and fire ants.

The recipient of numerous awards, Pollet may well be one of the most popular people in Louisiana because he knows every bug in the state and what to do about them.  He gets requests for interviews from all over the country and appeared on the “O’Reilly Factor” in 2005 to discuss Hurricane Katrina's effect on fire ants.
