Book/Calendar Sale & Signing by Dan Gill
Don't miss a special book sale and signing by Dan Gill of his very popular Month-By-Month Gardening in Louisiana on Saturday, October 18, at 1:30 p.m. in the Lath House. In addition, the Master Gardeners will sell the new 2009 Get It Growing calendar published by the AgCenter with monthly gardening tips from Dan Gill. This calendar makes an excellent holiday gift especially when personalized by Dan. Proceeds from this sale will benefit community projects and events supported by the Louisiana Master Gardeners of Greater New Orleans.
Among other highlights of this year's Fall Garden Show will be an educational exhibit by the Master Gardeners of Greater New Orleans on fall vegetable gardening. Look for their display on "Vegetables in Your Garden ... $$$ in Your Pocket" in the Lath House, which will include tips on growing appropriate cool-season crops for our area.
