Master Gardener Activities
La-Terre Master Gardeners are active throughout Lafourche, Terrebonne and St. Mary parishes.
Annual Projects and Events:
- Bonne Terre Garden Fair
- Home and Garden Trends Seminar co-sponsored with Family and Community Education of Lafourche/Terrebonne
- Tomato/Vegetable Field Day
- Lady Bug Ball (participant)
Ongoing Projects and Events:
- Assisting with 4-H activities: Achievement Day, Seafood & Sugar Cookery Contest, Poultry Contest, etc.
- Assisting LSU AgCenter office in Thibodaux/Houma
- Assisting with Butterfly Dome in Grand Isle
- Habitat for Humanity house landscaping
- Horticultural Leadership Advisory Council
- Junior Master Gardener Program in Amelia
- Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center landscape and maintenance
- Thibodaux Farmers' Market (Soil samples, publications, plant diagnostics and advice)
- Louisiana Yards & Neighborhood program
