Piney Hills LMGs help with a variety of 4-H projects, including:
- 4-H Leadership Training -- LMGs demonstrate projects that incorporate using project books and community service by gardening.
- 4-H Club Demonstrations -- LMGs attend 4-H club and school meetings and provide gardening demonstrations.
- 4-H Parish Fun Day -- LMGs teach a rotation group of children using gardening as a medium to illustrate the theme of the Fun Day.
- 4-H Junior Gardening Contest -- This is a parish-wide contest. Members of 4-H grow and maintain a 100-square-foot garden. The gardens are judged, and contestants are recognized for participation. LMGs mentor the contestants during the growing stage of the garden.
