Criteria for Scholarships Available for Students in Ag Economics & Agribusiness Curriculum
Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Alumni Association Award Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by the LSU Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Alumni Association. One or more scholarships are awarded annually to students meeting the following criteria:
1) Based on merit, leadership, and character
2) It is not limited to a Louisiana native
3) Presence at the November 14, 2009, Meeting of the Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Alumni Meeting
The scholarship amount will be based on the fund's earnings.
Professor William H. Alexander Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of the late Professor William H. Alexander, a faculty member in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness for 37 years. Scholarships will be awarded annually to a student meeting the following criteria:
1) Louisiana resident
2) Must have a 3.0 grade point average or better, or to an entering freshman with a minimum ACT score of 24 and a high school grade point average of B or better
3) Presence at the November 14, 2009, Meeting of the Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Alumni Meeting
The scholarship amount will be based on the endowment's earnings.
Eric O. Goudeau Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of the late Eric O. Goudeau, a native of Avoyelles Parish and resident of Alexandria. One scholarship will be presented annually to a student meeting the following criteria:
1. U.S. Citizen
2. Classified as a full-time senior
3. 3.0 overall grade point average
4. Presence at the November 14, 2009, Meeting of the Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Alumni Meeting
The scholarship amount will be based on the endowment's earnings.
Ewell P. Roy Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by the Ewell P. Roy Endowment Fund. Scholarships are awarded annually to students meeting the following criteria:
1) U.S. Citizen
2) Other considerations are grade point average and participation in activities that develop responsibility, and leadership
3) Presence at the November 14, 2009, Meeting of the Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Alumni Meeting
The scholarship amount will be based on the endowment's earnings.
Dwayne A. Zaunbrecher Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Dwayne A. Zaunbrecher, a 1983 B.S. and 1985 M.S. graduate of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. Scholarships will be awarded annually to one or more students meeting the following criteria:
1) Full-time freshman, sophomore, junior or senior
2) Grade point average 3.0 or better
3) Minimum ACT score of 24 for entering freshman
4) Presence at the November 14, 2009, meeting of the Agricultural Economics & Agribusiness Alumni Meeting
