Who Should Attend:

The information will be useful to engineers, chemists, operators and specialists involved in the food, sweetener, sugar, chemical, pharmaceutical and water treatment industries, which have similar resin process applications.

Short Course instructors will provide basic information required for understanding operation and process design related to separation technologies utilizing fine granulated media (e.g. ion exchange resins). In addition, case studies will be discussed covering a broad range of applications.

The course provides opportunities to create your own network of experts and industry suppliers and obtain information on all aspects of resin-based processes, starting from bench scale studies and all the way to commercialization. The course is focused on comprehension of practical aspects of resin-based technologies required for successful integration into industrial processes.

Twenty-seven courtyard rooms with king-size beds at the Holiday Inn South have been blocked for course participants at a low rate of $90 + tax per night. This reduced rate will be available only for ASI Short Course reservations made by June 13. After this date, the regular rates of $114 + tax for courtyard and $124 + tax for tower rooms will apply. Registration:

The registration fee is $700, which includes course materials, refreshments, a lunch and transportation to an optional tour of the Audubon Sugar Institute (ASI) facility. An early bird special is offered at $600 if registration forms and fees are received by April 1st.

A 15% discount is given to organizations registering three or more representatives. Louisiana sugar mills personnel will receive a 25% discount.
 
Fees are payable by check made out to Audubon Sugar Institute - 2008 Short Course, or by Visa or MasterCard. Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment.

Cancellation Policy:

A 2-week notice of cancellation is required for a full refund. Cancellations made after June 5 will receive a 50% reimbursement. ASI also reserves the right to cancel this course if there is insufficient support. In this event, you will be notified immediately. Audubon is not responsible for the purchase of nonrefundable airline tickets or the cancellation/change of fees associated with canceling a flight.

PDUs:

As an institution of higher education, ASI offers short courses intended to advance professional and technical competence of participants. Courses meet the requirements for PE CPD in Louisiana. This course qualifies for 10 PDH credits. Certificates of completion will be issued at the end of the course. Refer to the guidelines stipulated by the license-issuing board to verify applicability.
