Camp Date for Allen Parish 4-H: July 20-24, 2009
Where: 4-H Camp Grant Walker, Pollock, La.
Who: Fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders between the ages of 9 & 12
4-H camp is a week-long adventure where campers spend 4 nights and 4½ days away from home in a cabin with other kids, teen counselors and adult chaperones. Campers will be able to select from “tracks” (educational, hands-on classes ,such as nutrition, hunter safety, drama, etc.). In addition, campers participate in daily recreational activities like softball, basketball, kickball, jump rope, swimming and volleyball. Other choices include handicrafts, visiting with and making friends, shopping for items at the camp store, cabin time, fun and games and archery.
