Use this opportunity to promote 4-H and your school club during National 4-H Week. It is very easy to promote 4-H at school and at home: decorate a bulletin board, have 4-H members make posters to display, make clover tags that can be worn by members, teachers, etc, make a display in front of your school or house, pass out green treats to school staff promoting 4-H.

Decide which category in which you wish to compete (see below). You may make only one cookie for this contest so choose your category wisely. Bake and decorate your cookie the night before your November club meeting. Lightly wrap it up and label it with your name, grade, and the category you wish to enter.
Cookies are judged on both appearance and taste. Everyone will get a Blue, Red, or White ribbon depending on workmanship.
COOKIE HINTS
You can use a box cookie mix or make one from scratch, but please no store bought or bakery cookies. They will be disqualified.
Please make ONE big cookie and decorate it. This is not supposed to be a bunch of little cookies.
Parents - you can assist your child in this minimally, but remember it is a contest for children, any cookie that appears to have received too much parental help will be dropped a placing or two. It's very tempting to over-assist, but remember children learn best through doing.
The categories are:
- 4-H Cookie - one with a 4-H Theme.
- Holiday Cookie - decorated for any of our many holidays.
- Most Imaginative Cookie - one truly unique and unusual.
- Animal Cookie - shaped like an animal
