WELCOME to
Ascension Parish 4-H!
Ascension 4-H Agents Jamie Templet and Kayla Haydel have been specially trained to develop and present educational programs and activities that provide youth the opportunity to develop such life skills as self-esteem, community and citizen responsibility, decision making, organization and social interaction. They are assisted by staff members of the LSU AgCenter and parish and state offices. School leaders, volunteer parents and other lay leaders who share their time and talents in service to this youth organization are fundamental to the success of 4-H in Ascension Parish. 4-H is a community of young people across America striving “To Make the Best Better.”
4-H Colors - Green & White
GREEN - Representing youth, life and springtime.

My Head to clearer thinking,
My Heart to greater loyalty,

For my club, my community, my country and my world.
4-H Motto – The 4-H motto is “To Make the Best Better."
The 4-H Slogan, "Learn by Doing", is accomplished through record keeping, working in project books, method demonstrations, contests, workshops, junior leader club activities, camps and monthly scheduled club meetings.
4-H Creed
I believe in 4-H work for the opportunity it will give me to become a useful citizen.
I believe in training of my HEAD for the power it will give me to think, to plan and to reason.
I believe in the training of my HEART for the nobleness it will give me to become kind, sympathetic and true.
I believe in the training of my HANDS for the dignity it will give me to be helpful, useful and skillful.
I believe in the training of my HEALTH for the strength it will give me to enjoy life, to resist disease and to work efficiently.
I believe in my World, my Country, my State and my Community and in my responsibility for their development.
In all these things I believe, and I am willing to dedicate my efforts to their fulfillment.
