Ascension Parish Volunteer Named "2008 Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer"


Congratulations to Dr. Katherine Beier of Ascension Parish. She is the recipient of this year’s Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Award.

Congratulations to Jo Ann Hullum and Carrie Brown of Ascension Parish. They are Blue Ribbon winners for the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Each year the 4-H State office accepts nominitions for individuals who have showed exceptional service as volunteers. Volunteers are nominated for the Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Award and the Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding volunteerism. The Salute to Excellence Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Award is for individuals who have served as a 4-H volunteer for at least 10 years or more at the parish or state level. The Salute to Excellence Volunteer of the Year Award is for individuals who have served as a 4-H volunteer for 10 years or less at the parish or state level.
