Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Club

What do blasting rockets, forensic science and electricity bingo all have in common?

The 4-H SET Club is an after-school 4-H Club for fourth- through 12th-graders. The club hosts monthly activities including field trips and workshops. In addition to conducting exciting hands-on experiments monthly, this club will focus on exploring careers by scheduling hands-on workshops and activities with professionals in various careers. The idea is to give you a chance to try out a career you might be interested in for the future.

We also will participate in activities related to the projects included in the science, engineering and technology 4-H areas. Project books included in this area are: Aerospace, Electricity, Photography, Environment, Pet Care, Horticulture, Health, Foods and Nutrition, Insects/Entomology, Machines, Outdoor Skills, Livestock, Vet Science, Plant Science, Dog Care and Communications.

For information on upcoming events, check out the 4-H Rap-Up or the Ascension Parish Calendar.

Teens interested in science, engineering and technology have the chance to participate in  leadership opportunities by becoming a member of the parish Junior Leader SET board or the State SET Leadership Board.
