Home Buyer Education Program

Open to the public
12-hour program

Let our experts guide you to:

  • Select the best home for you family and budget
  • Choose your home-buying team
  • Get your finances in order
  • Manage your credit
  • Negotiate the best deals
  • Obtain the best mortgage for you
  • Maintain and protect your investment

Meets educational requirements for most home-buyer assistance programs.

Certificates awarded for completion of all 12-hours .
Cost is $30.00 for book and class supplies. Light meal at each class will be provided to participants.



Schedule
Please plan to attend all 12 hours of the course.

Classes:

Port Allen
    Dates:
August 3, 10, 17, 24
    Location: LSU AgCenter Extension Office at 210 Turner Road.
    Time: 6-9 p.m. each night.

Gonzales
    Dates:
August 6, 13, 20, 27
    Location:  LSU AgCenter office at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center facility located on St Landry Rd. 
    Time: 6-9 p.m. each night.

New Roads
    Dates:
August 29 and September 5
    Location: LSU AgCenter Extension Office at 180 East Main Street, 1st floor.
    Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Please make CHECK OR MONEY ORDER to LSU AgCenter. The classes will be taught by Family Economics educators: Deborah Cross and Sheri Fair. If you have any questions, call: 225-621-5799 for S.
